Template:FoodRaw ostrich is a food item dropped by ostriches. It can be cooked in a furnace to make cooked ostrich.
Obtaining
Ostriches drop up to 2 pieces of raw ostrich upon death. They will still drop it even when set alight. The amount of raw ostrich dropped can be increased with the Looting enchantment, for a total of 0 to 4 raw ostrich with Looting III.

Food
Raw ostrich can be eaten to restore 2 (
) hunger points and 0.2 hunger saturation, although it is more efficient to eat it cooked as it has a chance of giving you food poisoning.
