Solid surfaced blocks with a minimum of two block spaces above them
Crickets are small passive mobs that chirp at night.
Spawning[edit | edit source]
Natural generation[edit | edit source]
Crickets spawn on grass blocks at light levels of 9 or more with at least 2 block space above. They often spawn in groups of 2 during world generation.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
Crickets come in two colors: green or brownish-green.
Drops[edit | edit source]
Crickets only drop 1–3 experience when killed by a player or tamed wolf.
Behavior[edit | edit source]
Crickets will wander and fly around aimlessly, usually avoiding falling off cliffs high enough to cause damage, and usually stay out of water. At night, crickets emit loud chirps.
They are small enough to go through one block wide openings, can scale up blocks, and trigger pressure plates; traits shared with all other insects. Crickets also take extra damage from the Bane of Arthropods enchantment.
